Thanks go to Terry Howell, a truckmixer Driver at our Hull Readymix Plant, who took the time to STEP IN and prevent a serious injury recently.  Terry spotted a contractor on a customer’s site who was about to step in front of a lorry; the hoodie he was wearing beneath his safety helmet was obscuring his vision and hearing.

Where liners are required beneath safety helmets to keep warm, it is important that they are purpose-made and compatible with the helmet.

It’s great to hear of examples where we have taken the time to look after not only ourselves but also each other… Do you always STEP IN if you see something you think may be unsafe?
