Unfortunately last week someone was hurt whilst working for us.   A colleague suffered an injured foot when a beam fell over onto his foot and caused soft tissue damage.  He will be on restricted work duties until it has healed.

The employee had placed a lifting beam on the ground using an overhead crane, before attaching some 4 leg chains to the crane.  As he raised the chains, they hit the beam causing it to fall over and land on his foot.  The incident could have been avoided if time had been taken to STOP & THINK and the beam had been laid down in a less congested / more suitable area, away from the chain store.
