Cluster 7 recently hosted its yearly Contractor Workshop held at the Sheffield office.  All our main contractors including fitters, electricians and Volvo, attended.  Derrick Hopper and the Operations Team presented on various topics including: permit to work training; how to stop undue pressure building in break down situations; Safety Alerts; Myspace; the dangers of using mobile phones whilst driving, and effective use of PPE.  John Parker commented: “We now intend to extend the use of “Partners in Safety” to incorporate our contractors.
