John Parkyn, Cement Logistics Controller Rugby Plant, recently retired after serving a massive 46 years in various roles for Rugby Cement/RMC and finally CEMEX.

Over the years John (pic right in the main picture) has carried out numerous roles in Sales Transport and Logistics, including positions at Gloucester Depot, Chinnor works and Southam before finally settling back in Rugby as Logistics Controller.

John will be spending more time with his beloved dogs and helping his various charities. He will be greatly missed by all his colleagues and, more importantly friends at Rugby.  We have been lucky to benefit from John’s talent flexibility and his relentless attitude to ensure we succeeded.
