With over 2 million of us cycling at least once a week, there’s lots of us who don’t cycle but perhaps could. It’s good for our health, our wallet and the environment. This week is Bike Week 10-18th June and throughout the country there are plenty of cycling events to encourage an estimated ½ million of us to get on our bikes.
One such event is being organised by Bikeability Wales and is taking place at Dunvant RFC, Swansea from 11am -2.30pm on Saturday 17th. Mike Fowler, Area Logistics Manager, has organised two of our HGVs, a 6 wheeler tipper and an artic to be at the event and CEMEX colleagues will be showing visitors how to stay safe. If you are in the area, come along.
Safe cycling is part of CEMEX UK’s DNA and since 2009 we have been taking part in events, producing videos and leaflets to highlight to cyclists the possible dangers around HGVs, in fact, we are recognised as the leader in our sector for our work.
