Assistant Quarry Manager, Tom Brennan and work colleague John have helped the Nast Hyde Halt project go one step closer to bringing a small section of a full-size railway line back to the Alban Way for the first time in 50 years!
The Station Master, Mike, commented: “They answered my call for surplus railway sleepers to help ‘shutter’ the area in order to keep all the new track bed in place and prevent it from spilling out across the Alban Way itself. Many thanks lads, your contribution to the Nast Hyde Halt project and the work you’ll be doing to help clear out the old Children’s Playground is much appreciated by us all. THANK YOU SO MUCH!”
