CEMEX provided 130,000 cubic metres of concrete and innovative solutions for Punto Valle, a new commercial plaza in the Monterrey metropolitan area.

CEMEX announced its contribution of unique and innovative solutions for the development of Punto Valle, a next generation shopping plaza located in the municipality of San Pedro Garza García, within the metropolitan area of Monterrey, Mexico.

Punto Valle boasts almost 300,000 square metres of available commercial space. Desarrollos Missouri (DM), the project’s builder, sought to protect the shopping centre’s architectural design from its foundation: “During the rainy season, the hydrostatic pressure generated in the underground structure is high and can cause damage to the interior,” said Patricio Miguel Villarreal Guerra, representative for DM. “CEMEX supported us with a concrete design solution that integrates the protection and impermeability that we need to protect the foundations and the basements.”
