London To Paris Team – Need Your Sponsorship

The intrepid CEMEX UK cycling team, who are aiming to ride from London to Paris to raise money for The Stroke Association, are still training hard.  It is hotting up now as the start date approaches in two weeks. The team have been biking 60 miles in practise routes in evenings and weekends.

So far they have raised an epic £2,763, but they are ambitious for more… any donations can be made on their JustGiving site: https://bit.ly/2xq5BHe

They chose The Stroke Association as colleague, Matt Crowder (Paving Solutions), suffered a stroke earlier in the year and they wanted to do something to show their support for him and his family as he embarks on the long road of recovery.

Matt’s partner commented: “I just wanted to drop you a line to say how much Matt and myself appreciate you all doing this, such a lovely gesture. It means so much to us both that he is in your thoughts, he’s having lots of therapy and it’s starting to pay off. It’s a long road but he’s definitely up for the battle.”

The L2P riders include: Rebecca Wright, Legal; Colin Jones, Security; Emma Wright, Legal; Rob Greenfield, HR Planning & Development; Naomi Read, Raw Materials; Andrew Bucknall, Procurement; Simon Whitfield, IT and James Fairclough, Marketing.
