The Scotland Readymix team have been working hard behind the scenes to get some of our plants dusted down, operational, and up to speed with the new COVID-19 operating conditions and are opening the first two plants in Scotland this week – Polmadie and Grangemouth.

These plants will service “Essential Works” initially and are preparing for further relaxation on construction industry requirements in the next few weeks, and hopefully a return to “new normal” volumes.

Fantastic support from our resident haulier, Robert Houston and Sons, testament to their professionalism on handling the current COVID-19 restrictions and requirements, on delivering the very first raw material loads to our Readymix Grangemouth business in nine weeks.

A massive thanks go to the key team members in making this happen – Derek Caird, Michael McKenna, Carol McGeoch and Richard Perry, as well as Batchers: George Hall and Chris Francis, and don’t forget the Collessie Quarry Team on producing and loading the material.
