A Smashing Year for Yorkshire

Yorkshire had a record year last year for transport by rail increasing their tonnage moved from 784kt in 2019 to 964kt in 2020. Overall, the three Yorkshire outlets transported out 1.1million tonnes, beating their target for the year.

Special mention to Stourton team who took over 500kt for the first time and grew their volumes in 2020.

John Parker, General & Commercial Manager for Scotland, N East & Yorkshire, said: “2020 was a brilliant year for the Yorkshire depots with several records broken. This was achieved by collaboration between Dove Holes, rail, sales, shipping and operations. A fantastic effort by all involved.

Great for our customers, great for sustainable transport and great for CEMEX. Well done all and thank you.”
