Pygmyweed Invasion

In the UK News downloads section Biodiversity Briefing (813 downloads)   you can read the Biodiversity Briefing, giving information on the invasive plant, New Zealand Pygmyweed, which has been found on several CEMEX sites.

If you suspect you have New Zealand Pygmyweed at your site, it’s important to contact Sean Cassidy. It’s also important not to spread the invasive species – don’t walk on it or disturb it – even small fragments could be carried to other sites. Don’t try to dig it out with mobile plant or equipment, experience has shown this only spreads the invasive species faster, so expert advice or supervision is required.
