The EXCEED team are proud to launch a new branding for digital and data-oriented operational excellence projects in West Europe Materials. ‘EX Digital’ will include projects related to our goal for completely paperless operations, fixed and mobile equipment telematics focussed on fuel and CO2 reductions, energy efficiency, equipment reliability including condition monitoring sensors, and data analytics.
As we have seen with the successful deployments of CEMEX Go, and more recently, Checkproof, our customers and our operations are on an exciting journey of digital transformation. We are still in the early stages of changing our business, but many projects are underway which will help us become leaders of ‘Industry 4.0’ (the fourth industrial revolution, with a focus on digital manufacturing) in our sector.
Whether we are using live equipment data for predicting equipment failures, using 3D printing to develop new products, or using artificial intelligence to model our next quarries, we will definitely see our operations advancing with our use of technology in 2023 and beyond.
