“Changing the Way We Think”

This week sites across the UK have been busy sharing the Road Safety Week communications campaign assets with colleagues and taking part in discussions about road safety, and in particular, this year’s theme ‘speed’.

Over at Somercotes Rail Solutions, Terry Clair, Business Manager, noticed a delivery driver driving into the site a little faster than the site’s speed limit, and made a point of speaking directly with the driver requesting he reduce his speed. Commenting on the Road Safey Week campaign to Supply Chain Director, Dave Hart, Terry said: “It is powerful how these campaigns can change your way of thinking. Great work and thanks to you and your team for pushing this out.”

It’s great to see the campaign having a positive effect and well done to Terry’s proactive approach to road safety – this week their site has had new speed bumps installed at the points where pedestrians cross.
