On behalf of the Management Team, another big ‘Thank You’ goes out to everyone for continuing to develop and implement their ideas that will help make Cemex a Safer place to work, with better Quality, greater Efficiency/Effectiveness and Cost Savings.
The following summary gives a brief overview of the ideas from the January 2025 competition:
- Andy Ralph and Yorkshire Readymix team – The team held two Isolation Training sessions with Reece Safety which was focussed on empowering staff both new and experienced with practical knowledge and the confidence to safely implement isolation procedures.
- Gordon Renshaw and Yorkshire Readymix team – Have fitted a solenoid valve to stop the air at the outlet of the air receiver. This means if there are any small air leaks that haven’t been repaired the compressor will automatically shut off when the pressure meets the target in the air receiver.
Our congratulations go out to Andy Ralph and the Yorkshire Readymix team who took the Top Award this month!
