We recently celebrated Rail Safety Week and our UK Supply Chain Rail team took time to be visible at both industry and local Cemex levels.

The team met with GB Railfreight to discuss where they were on their safety journey and understand what they are looking to focus on in the rest of 2025.

Dave Hart, Director Supply Chain, and Julie Welch, Supply Chain H&S Manager, met with industry safety champions in Crewe kindly hosted by Freightliner.

Dove Holes hosted the latest Rail Safety Awareness course, which ensures relevant staff stay aware of safety in and around our Rail operations. Jane Walsh and Nik Watson completed the last of the Cemex Rail Freight Terminal Management audits at Dove Holes. This was in conjunction with the Dove Holes team, our terminal operator, Victa Railfreight, and our independent auditor, Matt Green. This involved a track walk out with all parties and a document check on Methods of Work, risk assessments and all rail related processes.
