Recently, Ian White, General & Commercial Manager Materials North West, and Martin Simons, Commercial Manager Readymix North West, were hosted by our valued customer, Heyrod Construction and Kier NRNN, along with representatives of the judging panel for this year’s Concrete Society Awards.

This major project was to restore Toddbrook Reservoir in Whaley Bridge, High Peak, Derbyshire, following damage to the dam auxiliary slipway in August 2019 after a period of intense rainfall.

As the project nears completion, Heyrod and Kier have supported our submission and we’re delighted that Cemex have made the shortlist for projects that demonstrate outstanding conception, development and execution with Concrete.

Thanks to John McPhillips, Jim Ness and the team at Heyrod for organising the visit which we hope will lead to success at the Awards Dinner in November 2026.
