Another Friday was spent last week in the National Technical Centre (NTC) laboratory at Southam showcasing one of our bespoke concrete designs for a high profile contract to a high profile customer – in this case two customers – Vinci and Bachy. The concrete is required to have a six hour consistence retention at an F5, be placed by tremie with good rheological properties to limit static segregation. Customers were impressed with the concrete design and commented on the professionalism of the Team at NTC.

Further lab trials are now required to complete the plastic properties tests as well as hardened tests for durability. Thanks to John Shrimpton and Sean ODonnell for carrying out the trial and to Paul Griffin for advice during the preliminary trial work.
