“We supplied the first 7 cubic metres of a 250 cubic metre order of Evolution Flooring from Brighton Readymix to our customer GPB at their Isfield, Sussex site where a development of houses is being built,” comments Stephen Thorpe, RMX Technical Manager. “The customer has previously used a competitor’s SCC product and approached us for our similar concrete. They had also had a ‘bad experience’ at another site with another competitor’s equivalent!

The load was batched and slump flow tested at Brighton before dispatch, and again tested on site which is about a 45 minute run from the Brighton Plant. The product on site was exactly as intended with a 750mm slump flow. It was placed into an oversight by two site personnel who were watched by six others, some of whom would have been used to place, compact, and finish conventional concrete. The customer was extremely pleased with the concrete and is looking forward to the next supply!
