Readymix Northern is getting set to supply 120,000 cubic metres of concrete to the prestigious new bridge that will span the Mersey River at Runcorn and Widnes. Two site plants, one situated either side of the crossing, will supply the concrete. The south plant at Runcorn has been commissioned and is ready to go. The brand new Liebherr designed Mobilmix 2.5 will be able to supply at a rate of up to 90 cubic metres per hour. Its sister plant, also a Liebherr 2.5, which will be on the Widnes side of the crossing, is due to start being built later this month.
