As part of their drive to “be the best” at Hyndford Quarry they have taken measures to reduce truck contamination complaints. The team installed a water tank with a pump recovered from another site and positioned it in a safe area for trucks to wash the backs of their trailers. Previously drivers had to sweep out trailers if switching from different materials.

A Safe System of Work was developed and located at point of use. Now the drivers can wash their trailers in a safe and controlled manner on site under management supervision. The response from drivers has been very positive with regular use being made of the new installation. Our customers can be assured of receiving the product they ordered without risk of cross contamination. Well done team Hyndford!
