Improved Planning = Improved Customer Service

Robert Edwards, Asphalt Sales Rep, wanted to thank the Planning Team at Thorpe for the way in which we are engaging and pleasing our Asphalt customers.  We are receiving good Customer feedback about the way that we plan to supply after discussion with them.

The Planners gather the information, it is considered and evaluated, and they go back with realistic options which, 9 times out of 10, are very acceptable to the customer.

We are not just saying ‘yes’ and hoping for the best (Planning to Fail), and we are not saying ‘no’ and offending Customers in turning orders away.

The Planning Team are offering realistic options and alternatives, unlike our close competitors who are selling cheap and failing to supply.

Our “Value Over Volume” policy is greatly enhanced by what the Planners are doing right. Well done and thank you.
