Last week CEMEX had a stand at the Flood & Coast 2017 Exhibition, where we show cased our flood defence products, specifically ReadyAquawall, our rapid assembly flood defence wall structure and Permaflow, our permeable concrete technology. The exhibition, which was led by the Environment Agency, was held at Telford’s International Centre and had over 1,500 visitors over the course of the three days (the picture shows the CEMEX Team ready for the opening).
The aim of the exhibition was to pull together key stakeholders from the Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCRM) community, including local authorities, infrastructure owners, consultancies, contractors, businesses, community groups and universities.
“The exhibition is a specialist exhibition and was very busy, with our Technical and Commercial Team talking to over 150 visitors, resulting in 21 promising leads. Examples include the opportunity to price for 200m of ReadyAquawall for a National Grid Substation and information on Permaflow for a contract in Bridgeport West Bay in Dorset,” comments Head of Marketing, James Fairclough.
