John Godley demonstrated the great customer attitude and teamwork can get record jobs for Asphalt.  John has just secured and started supplies of 480t AC 20 Dense Binder from Ely mainline asphalt plant to some distance over the border to Beccles in Suffolk, –  an area not normally supplied from Ely – at a great price. The customer contacted John and asked about supply, asking if we could you do it rather than just what’s your price.

John seized the opportunity in the knowledge of current activity levels.  He went away and got his ducks in a row with the planning team, ensuring we had the plant and logistics capability (road maps!).

He returned to the customer and gave them complete confidence we could do it and secured the work at great price. In fact never in the field of mainline asphalt plant history have we supplied this product at this price!

Andy Shield would like to set a challenge to the rest of the team can they push the boundaries and beat this from a mainline plant (local excluded), with a suitable reward for the quality of the order. Just shows what be achieved if you have the right mindset!
