Starting on Thursday 28th July Redditch began 12 days of continuous pours to Stanfords Flooring, completing an industrial unit floor, averaging 270m3 per day. Peter Hember wrote to thank everyone involved in keeping the wagons rolling and everyone sane during some testing times.

Well done to Aaron Lewis, Redditch Plant Supervisor, who batched every m3 from Redditch some 2,015m3; Matty ‘Flash’ Jones, in Bromsgrove, who backed up when required 230m3; Steve Hughes, the Plant’s Team Leader, who took all the pressure of logistics, safety inductions and kept the Plant ticking every day during the pours, Brian Pountney, our Cluster Plant Fitter, who kept the plant spick and span; Dave Taylor, who won the work and then had to go on manoeuvres with the RAF TA; Gilbert Morgan and Richard Brindley, who kept the loads technically compliant; Jim Wainwright, Al Laverty and Martin Pearce, who kept the troupes fed and watered; the London 8m Truck Drivers, Nick Hagas, Mihial and George, who were always on time and willing to work; Ken Land, our Relief, who helped Aaron stay sane on some of the testing days, and last of all the lads from Bardon over the road that got out of a few sticky wickets when aggregates turned up late.
