The CEMEX Floors team at Rochester are chuffed as they received formal confirmation from Network Rail that it is now an approved site for the manufacture and sales of railway sleepers, crossing bearers and check rail bearers.

The Rochester site has already supplied check rail bearers to a London Underground project at Earl’s Court and has started the manufacture and supply of cable sleepers into the Network Rail infrastructure.

Congratulations to the Production team at Rochester and the Technical team: Nathan Kite and Aaron McArthur led by Paul Crowther, who have worked to a tight timeline to achieve this approved status.

By expanding the product range in Precast Concrete Products to include both floor beams and rail products at Rochester provides further opportunities to expand and develop the site further over the next few years.
