The largest arena in the UK, the Co-op arena, is being built in Manchester and they are using our Vertua® Plus Zero 35 concrete.  The contract has been designed to achieve the BREEAM excellent environment performance rating and our Vertua® concrete is helping to achieve this.

CEMEX has supplied 3,000m3 to this contract from our Gorton plant.  We have supplied a bespoke CEMEX Vertua® Plus Zero 35 mix, this significantly reduces the embodied carbon dioxide of the concrete mix as GGBS generates very low CO2 emissions.
