Graham Osman started his employment in 1979 aged 16 straight from school as a Weighbridge Clerk in the local quarry on a massive 80 pence per hour.
He worked in all the local quarries, landfill sites and wharves with a spell at Winchester Head Office, carrying out various roles throughout his development. In the early 90s he became Manager of two sites, one of which was in the village he grew up in, in the Test Valley.
With the CEMEX changeover he switched to Procurement where he was a PPSM for a local area. This area grew to be a third of the UK as the role of the PPSM changed. In 2010 there was an opportunity to become part of Marine working with the Marine Engineering team as a Senior Negotiator/Marine Procurement Officer.
Throughout his career he has completed a host of courses including City & Guilds Extraction & Processing, NEBSM Certification, IOSH, MCIPS and most recently a Lloyds Diploma in Marine Purchasing and has qualified as a Maritime Lead Auditor.
Graham commented: “The time has just flown by working with some amazing people of which some are friends for life. My wife came from RMC and even my son has just recently worked for CEMEX. I would like to thank everyone for their support over the years. There are a lot of incredible people that have and still work for CEMEX.” In his spare time Graham enjoys spending time with his family and friends, jogging, walking, gardening, playing billiards and watching Southampton FC at St Marys just down the road from Marine.
Thank you Graham for all your hard work over the years.
