Congratulations to Danny Cairns who retired on Wednesday last week after nearly 26 years service. Danny started off working at Gartshore Block Plant, then West Calder Block Plant and finally at Hyndford Block Plant.

Danny started out at Gartshore as a Cuber Operator and then moved on to driving clamp trucks. He is pictured above cutting a celebration cake which was enjoyed after a light lunch.  The whole of Hyndford site personnel came to wish him well in his retirement.

The left picture is Danny (middle) receiving cards and a monetary collection which was collected from all the site personnel and handed over by Tom Tennant, Plant Supervisor (right), who thanked Danny for all his hard work and commitment over the years. Also in the picture is Peter Mulvay who will miss Danny as they car shared to get to work.
