The team at our Berkswell quarry recently supported the West Midlands Police as they safely dispose of a World War II bomb discovered by builders near the quarry.

Due to the size and layout of the quarry, the team were able to provide a suitable location with a large exclusion zone, something the police had been struggling to identify elsewhere.

Working closely with police, the bomb disposal experts transported the device to our site and successfully carried out a controlled explosion. The operation was completed safely and efficiently, helping to minimise disruption to local residents, businesses and emergency services.
