At the end of last year CEMEX created a new company called CEMEX Ventures with the objective of driving radical and disruptive innovation for the future construction industry.Headed by former UK Country President, Gonzalo Galindo, the Team is based in Madrid and supported by development partners Boston Consulting Group, IBM and Neoris. Innovation ideas are invited from all areas – internal employees and external start-up companies.

Many of our UK colleagues have already submitted ideas and one is currently being evaluated further for potential development. Jamie Pickles from Communications submitted the idea and recently spent a few days with the Team in Madrid refining the opportunity for presentation to our global CEO.
