Well done and congratulations to Mike Craven, Supervisor-Finished Products at Dove Holes quarry, who has recently won the Institute of Quarrying’s (IQ) Longcliffe Calcium Carbonates Award of Excellence (Year 1) – Best Foundation Degree 1st Year Student. This recognises Mike’s outstanding work towards his mineral extractives course at the University of Derby.

Mike (seen here in the middle of the photo) was presented with his award by IQ President, Ben Williams, at the Student Awards Ceremony at the Birmingham Symphony Hall earlier this month.
