As part of the flood remediation project which is ongoing at South Ferriby Cement Plant, demolition work has started on buildings which were devastated by the tidal surge of December 2013. 

The first to go was the ‘old toilet block’ and compressor building, then onto the bigger project, the demolition of the garage.  This is being demolished and the land prepared in readiness for the building of a new office block, which will include a central control room, laboratory, canteen, changing facilities etc for all South Ferriby employees.

A further 3 buildings will also be demolished – the main office, the fitting shop office and the laboratory.
