After giving the company over 15 years service John Guest retired from the Rail Solutions business on 10th Sept 2015.

John held the role of Rail Logistics Coordinator throughout his time at Washwood Heath and as well as being in daily contact with our customers to arrange delivery of sleepers John was responsible for planning of production and orders.

He played a big role in the introduction of SAP and more recently CEMEX Way SAP and will be greatly missed by his colleagues.

John was joined for lunch at a local Chinese restaurant by his work colleagues to see him on his way where he told us of his recollections of working here and some of his retirement plans which include spending more time at his allotment.

As well as his hard work and dedication, John’s love for a cup of tea was also acknowledged with a huge bag of PG Tips to see him on his way!
