On the last working shift before Christmas Bob Knight’s work colleagues at Dove Holes Quarry got together to wish him a fond farewell.

Bob had worked the night shift for over 40 years and made many friends in that time. His humour and experience will be greatly missed by his peers.

The night shift team got together at a local restaurant in November when Bob hit 40 years service, and they got together again on site to recognise his retirement.

Bob was presented with £200 worth of fishing tackle shop vouchers from CEMEX, along with cards and a cash collection from his colleagues.  Bob (centre) can be seen with the night shift team on his last night.

Everybody at Dove Holes wishes him a happy and healthy retirement.
