As part of our Wellbeing Strategy Group activities, we are introducing the option to provide emergency period products across our Cemex UK sites.
Discreet baskets can be placed in female toilets, with products for our colleagues and visitors to use, should they ‘get caught out’. This will hopefully remove any panic or embarrassment that may be felt.
To support this initiative, Cemex UK is partnering with Hey Girls, an award winning, certified social enterprise, who donate 100% of their profit to funding the fight to eradicate period poverty and lobby for period dignity across the UK. Donations from products purchased by Cemex will go to The Hygiene Bank in Coventry, but Hey Girls also make donations to over 300 other community partners across the UK.
Their products use natural materials without any hidden nasties such as chemicals, bleach and toxins. Their plant-based ingredients are responsibly sourced and renewable.
Get your starter pack
For any site interested in receiving a starter pack, please register by 12th October by clicking here. The starter packs will be sent out from our Binley Head Office and will include an A4 strut sign, a basket, a selection of products and a “how to guide” on reordering products. Going forward, if sites then want to continue with this scheme, they can place orders themselves.
