The Team at South Ferriby who recently won a thanks for your effort award celebrated last week with a Team dinner. 

There was a fire on top of the furnace which uses liquid petroleum gas, gas oil and coal as fuels.  Quick thinking by the first on the scene isolated the fuels and starved the fire which minimised the damage and downtime.

Other Team mates came on in the night to do repairs, source parts and had to rebuild and commission the furnace so that the Plant could keep producing clinker.

Well done again to the Team for their quick thinking in a crisis, and for working so well together.  Thank you.
