Dan Mann and Ross Jones from Cemex’s Public Affairs and Comms teams recently represented Cemex at the High Peak Jobs Fair, held at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton and hosted by local MP Jon Pearce. The event brought together a wide range of employers, training providers, and job seekers from across the region, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase the career pathways available in the construction materials industry.
With a strong turnout from both young people and experienced professionals, Dan and Ross spoke to attendees about the diverse range of roles Cemex offers—whether on site, in logistics, technical roles, or corporate functions. They also highlighted Cemex’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and professional development, helping to shift perceptions of the industry and attract new talent.
Cemex’s presence was part of a broader effort to strengthen our ties with local communities, promote employment opportunities, and inspire the next generation of talent. It also reflects our commitment to supporting regional growth and contributing positively to the areas in which we operate.
Thank you to Jon and his team for hosting this event and for inviting Cemex to attend, we look forward to working with him and the contacts that we made at the fair going forward.
