Thanks For Your Efforts As Well….

Some other awesome colleagues have been nominated for going the extra mile at work.

Carol Oliver, Asphalt Sales (Preston Brook). Carol was selected as part of a group to tackle an extensive list of queries found in various reports within SAP (Data Integrity), with potential for large amounts or revenue to be claimed by the successful analysis of them. She took on this task on a national level to maintain these reports for the asphalt business.

Ged Devlin, Jason Colley, Roy Liddle and Pete Bramall, UK Materials Midlands (Northern). This team of Plant Manager, Relief Plant Managers and Drivers rose to the challenge during a very large project for Konfloor, which involved supplying over 12,000m3 in under three months.

Andrew Parkes, Operations Manager, Readymix. Andy’s work ethic and attitude has been described as sensational; whatever the time or day he will go out of his way to help. His energy rubs off on those around him and he literally cannot do enough to help get the job done.

Nigel Long, Plant Manager, Bridgend. The Readymix plants use an online weekly defect reporting system and this year Nigel managed an update of the system. A total of 17 plants were able to carry on using the weekly defect reporting system all thanks to Nigel.

Mary Ann Mcinnes and Stuart Glover, Regional Health & Safety Advisor and Engineer, Cement.

Mary Ann and Stuart were seconded from Rugby Plant to Rugby Office for a week to help manage the repair works to the Rugby Office façade. They worked as a team across business divisions and demonstrated that we are One CEMEX who support each other whenever needed.

Nic Drabble and Nik Watson, Rail Team Supply Chain.  An opportunity arose at short notice to service a high PSV asphalt job out of Ely asphalt plant and Depot. The Rail team were able to establish a new rail flow from Neath to Ely, saving over £100,000 in road costs.

Les Stout, Chris O’Brien, Andy Pliszka, Jamie Izzo and Christian Vale, CEMEX London Employees, Operations. Stepney plant had over 800m3 of concrete booked to supply for 29th March but at 4pm on the 28th both plants broke down. The team stepped up and worked through the night to ensure the work was completed on time and the customer was not aware of any issues.

Well done to those who won, and all the nominees!
