Nathan Mann and Aaron Dent (two of our new Apprentice Drivers) met the Transport Secretary, Patrick Mcloughlin, last week when he visited our Carlisle facility.  The Minister promised to help Aaron sort out a problem he was having with the DVLA over a mistake on his LGV licence which is delaying the next stage in his test. Patrick stated to Aaron:  “I will personally look into this.  If I cannot sort it no one can because I am in charge of the DVLA.”

Patrick was keen to learn that the Apprentices would all have jobs with CEMEX after the scheme. Both Nathan and Aaron really enjoyed the visit, especially the time they spent practicing on the full systems Training LGV driving simulator.
