Cemex’s restored quarry in Castillejo (Toledo) in Spain, which supplied limestone to the cement factory for almost 100 years, was converted into a 92,000-plant vineyard, producing high-quality Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

This year, as a result of the high temperatures and the lack of rain in the region, the harvest has been lower than other years, however, experts say that these extreme conditions reduce the amount of grapes but have improved their quality.

54,000 kilos of grapes have been collected, which will become an excellent wine!
