A team of volunteers from Cemex’s Binley Head Office recently spent their Lend a Hand day supporting Ridgeway School in Bedford, helping to refresh learning spaces ready for the new school year.

Building on a previous visit in July, the team rolled up their sleeves and successfully completed the painting of a second classroom, ensuring the rooms are bright, welcoming and ready for pupils returning in September.

A big thank you goes to Lucy Dodd, Simon Whitfield, Clint Yarwood, Jo Wright and Diane Findlay for their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the day. Thankfully, the classroom walls didn’t require a second coat, leaving time to enjoy some well-earned cookies at the end of a productive day!

The project is a great example of how Cemex colleagues come together to support the communities where we operate, volunteering their time and skills to make a positive difference. Thank you to everyone involved for their commitment to giving back and helping create a better learning environment for local children.
