The Cemex Rugby Cement Plant has proudly sponsored the Rugby Borough Women and Girls U15 team. This substantial sponsorship has not only provided the young ladies with their football kit but has also facilitated barrier-free access to football through the Club’s inclusive provision.
At a recent ceremony, Jamie Jordan and Chiedza Mupfumira attended and witnessed the young ladies presenting their framed kit. They also had the chance to interact with some of the team members, who expressed immense gratitude for the support.
Coach, Stacey, expressed her delight at the sponsorship, noting that this is the first time the team has been equipped with an away kit. The team morale was exceptionally high, and the pride they had in their new kit was evident on their faces.
Phil Baynes Clarke, the Cement Plant Director, conveyed his enthusiasm for supporting this young women’s team, especially considering their impressive performance in the league, where they currently top the table. He emphasised that the Rugby Cement Plant is thrilled to sponsor the U15s, believing firmly in their potential to achieve even greater success with the support provided. Furthermore, he acknowledged the importance of football to many families and expressed happiness in not only supporting the girls in showcasing their talents but also in promoting physical wellness within the local community. The sponsorship reflects Cemex’s commitment to supporting and improving opportunities for local communities.
