Charitable Award Goes To Bassetlaw Hospice

During 2015 CEMEX Ash ran a charitable award scheme where for every month without a safety incident £100 was accrued for a nominated charity. Last year the Team decided to support Bassetlaw Hospice in Retford. The hospice provides palliative care for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer or a progressive long term condition and it was very relevant for the Ash Team as the mother-in- law of Andy Warburton, one of the Production Operatives at West Burton, benefitted from their care during early 2015. Last week, Andy visited the hospice with his son and Grant McMillan, Concrete Products, Floors & Ash Director, to present Ian Hall, the Charity Administrator, with a cheque for £1,100 as a result of the Ash Team achieving 11 months incident free.
