On Thursday last week CEMEX signed up to the project with the EA to provide materials for the new flood defences in South Ferriby. Our contribution to the £11M project is almost £3M and consists of clay and clinker from the heap at the back of the plant by the South Lagoon.  A ground-breaking ceremony take place in the field by our overflow carpark.

There were representatives from the EA, their contractors Bentley, local North Lincs Councillors, South Ferriby Parish Councillors and CEMEX as well as interest from the local press.
