This little Oyster Catcher chick was spotted hiding amongst the ground cover in the workings when a Quarry manager was on a routine site walk.

Luckily the staff are all alert to the nesting birds and little animals on site. The photo is close up, but from a standing height – the chicks are very hard to spot.
