Meet the 31 American bison housed at El Carmen, CEMEX’s nature reserve! To date, we have 23 cows and 8 bulls, 12 of them yearlings.

This is the second herd of American bison to be introduced into the El Carmen reserve in Mexico. This was possible thanks to a joint effort between AES Mexico, the Mexican Fund for the Conservation of Nature (FMCN), and CEMEX.
