The UK Public Affairs and Social Impact team – Dan Mann, Public Affairs Analyst and Chiedza Mupfumira, Social Impact Specialist UK, attended a reception in Westminster to celebrate CEMEX’s nomination as a Responsible Business Champion by the All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group.
The purpose of the All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group (APCRG) is to promote debate and understanding of corporate social responsibility within Parliament, by promoting an exchange of views between Parliamentarians and people with an active interest in corporate responsibility.
CEMEX were nominated for this award by Member of Parliament for Rugby, Mark Pawsey, and this nomination recognises the social impact work that we as a company have done throughout the area.
CEMEX’s vision of building a better future is at the heart of the company’s Social Impact strategy. The Rugby Cement plant acknowledges its key role in enhancing the well-being of its neighbours and advancing development. With this commitment, CEMEX strives to maintain strong links with community groups, local authorities, business partners and other community partners.
