This week Rugby Cement Plant successfully completed its EU-ETS Greenhouse gas emissions verification audit with BSI for 2014.

The verification process was completed over a number of stages throughout 2014, with the final verification being completed early in the 2015.  CO2 emissions for Rugby Cement Plant are calculated utilising: cement sales figures, production, fuel and raw material consumption data, physical stock measurements and laboratory analysis results.

As such, many functions at Rugby and business areas throughout CEMEX are involved in generating the CO2 calculations including: Cement Operations, Sustainability, Cement Logistics, Projects and Business Performance to name but a few.
