A select few from CEMEX Paving Solutions and CEMEX Asphalt are going to attempt the Doncaster Half Marathon on Sunday 9th June.
David Duszczak, Estimator, CEMEX Paving Solutions, explains: “The reason behind this is because we are looking to raise funds/awareness for the Stroke Association as our colleague, Matthew Crowder (Paving Solutions Business Manager), suffered a severe stroke at the beginning of March this year.
Matt is showing signs of recovery and is improving every day, however, it will be a long journey for him and his close family and friends.
Although this will be a tough challenge both mentally and physically for us to complete the training and run, it is not comparable to what Matt and his family are going through every day as he tries to get back to a full recovery.”
