Running Through the Glen….

Congratulations to Glen Wilcox, bulk tanker driver at Rugby, who completed a running machine marathon for the charity Menphys.  Menphys provide care and support for children and young people with disabilities and their families, in the Leicestershire area.  The whole thing was run by Louise Lavender, publican at the new Plough Inn.

Glen started the marathon at 4.10pm and managed to complete it in 3 hours 40.

Glen commented: “It was grueling and a bit boring but was worth it. After the marathon Louise held a charity quiz to raise more money and in total we raised £2,000 pound for the charity.”

Well done to Glen and the Team on this great fundraising effort.
